Our History

In response to a community need for licensed, quality, early childhood education in the area, Melissa Chatagnier Isaac founded Hampton Cove Preschool in 2013 and serves as the school's founder and owner. Her belief in the development of the whole child coupled with her education and experience created the environment found today at Hampton Cove Preschool.

Mrs. Chatagnier Isaac holds degrees in both early childhood education and special education and often calls upon years of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten teaching experience in public as well as private school environments to guide her decisions regarding school development.

Daily Operation

Hampton Cove Preschool is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am. until 6:00 pm. Children may attend at any interval within this time frame. However, to benefit the child, a consistent arrival schedule is encouraged to ensure that your child is present to participate in large group and small group instruction. Each class has a set schedule for activities and children should be in attendance at the start of the day’s activities in order to get the most out of the program for which they are enrolled.

Hampton Cove Preschool prides itself on being able to offer the best early childhood education possible by making sure that we have experienced teachers in every classroom. Our educated, experienced and knowledgeable staff is dedicated to, and capable of, implementing our proven curriculum and tailoring lesson plans to meet the needs of each and every child in the classroom.

At Hampton Cove Preschool, we proudly include outdoor classrooms that combine physical activity and motor skill development into our curriculum with programs that cater to a variety of ages.

Our Campus

Our state of the art, preschool campus consists of six technology rich classrooms as well as a fully equipped indoor gymnasium. Hampton Cove Preschool is licensed by the State of Alabama Department of Human Resources and our classrooms, as well as our three outdoor playgrounds, have been designed and furnished to meet NAEYC guidelines for quality early childhood education.

Our certified teachers utilize the High Scope Curriculum to ensure that each student, from our infants to our Pre-Kindergarteners, is engaged in developmentally appropriate activities that promote academic, social, and emotional development.
